Development Manager
The Development Manager’s primary role will be developing and implementing strategies to move corporate and institutional prospects toward solicitation. The Development Manager will maintain and grow a portfolio of donors by fielding inquiries, scheduling solicitation meetings, doing outreach and follow-up, and fulfilling benefits. This role also includes active use of the database to track all donor activities, select event planning and execution, and prospect research.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uphold Habitat Metro Denver’s commitment to Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, the Fair Housing Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Habitat Metro Denver’s Inclusivity goals.   
Oversee a pipeline of $500K+ annually from donors that give at least $3,000+; Foster strong relationships among various individual, community, corporate, and faith donors to increase financial support.
Contribute to effective operations by responding to inbound donor inquiries within 48-hours.
Document all donor-related activity in Raiser’s Edge for portfolio management in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
Create proposals and complete assigned solicitations on the agreed upon timeline.
Develop relationships with donors through in-person meetings, construction site visits and other donor stewardship activities.
Manage the sponsor recruitment process for Habitat’s signature fundraising event, Breakfast for Humanity.
Implement all aspects of Habitat’s Gingerbread peer-to-peer fundraiser including budget management, sponsor and participant recruitment, communications and online fundraising platform management.
Fulfill donor cultivation and stewardship activities including the creation and management of sponsor recruitment materials, coordination of donor cultivation and stewardship events, invoice creation, management of sponsorship-related webpages of Habitat Metro Denver’s website
Collaborate with the Volunteer and Marketing Teams to fulfill donor benefits.
Track data associated with inbound donor inquiries and utilize data to inform the donor solicitation strategy.
Other associated duties as required to help fulfill our mission in alignment with our Cultural Blueprint values.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum four years’ experience in a related field.
Lived experience and/or accredited degree in public relations, communication, marketing, religious studies, or a similar field would be beneficial in this role.
Full proficiency in the MS365 Suite, especially Excel with the ability to learn as the needs of the position and available technology evolves.
Monday.com and Raiser’s Edge or similar database proficiency highly preferred.
Personal volunteer experience and experience working with, and overseeing, volunteers a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Most work is performed indoors at a desk in a shared office or meeting setting, with the ability to work remotely at times.
Ability to talk on the phone and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Hybrid work model - minimum 2 days/week at a Habitat location (Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday), with ability to work from home the other days) During the first 6-9 months of employment additional days in the office will be required to learn the role, build critical interdepartmental connections, and strengthen the development team’s vision, strategy, and cohesiveness.
Some work outside of traditional office hours (evenings and weekends) will be required to attend meetings, events, etc.
Ability to travel to and from meetings and appointments in locations and times when public transportation is unavailable.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company’s insurance policy is prerequisite; driving is required. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run for insurance purposes.
Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds when necessary.

The expected starting annual salary range for this position is $55,400 - $65,400. New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role. The full annual salary range for this
position is $55,400 - $75,400.
