We are currently hiring a **Temporary Development Manager** in **Cedar Rapids** . The Temporary Manager will be responsible for handling key activities during leave of absences. This role involves organizing and executing event logistics, securing auction items, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
This is a full-time, temporary position and offers a hybrid schedule. This position is expected to conclude April 30, 2025.

**Responsibilities**
+ Plan and conduct engaging assemblies for the Kids Heart Challenge program.
+ Coordinate with schools and volunteers to ensure smooth execution.
+ Identify and secure auction items for fundraising events.
+ Maintain a database of potential donors and sponsors.
+ Assist in planning and organizing the Heart Ball event.
+ Conduct table host visits to ensure their needs are met.
+ Support team captain recruitment and engagement.
+ Make calls to potential sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
+ Schedule and coordinate new company meetings to discuss event participation and support.
**Qualifications**
+ 0-2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related experience'
+ University/College degree or equivalent experience.
+ Demonstrated track record in donor and volunteer relations.
+ Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with proactive communication, thorough planning and execution and allocating/providing resources, additional support or training.
+ Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to consistently maintain a professional, calm, and friendly manner in creating positive customer experiences externally and internally.
+ Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues that may impact organizational productivity and/or compliance and address proactively and timely.
+ Effective project management and event management skills in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
+ Experience in positively managing change including anticipating and championing organizational change, creating contingency plans, proactively considering short-term and long-term impact.
**Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:**
+ Knowledge of the American Heart Association’s standards and procedures.
+ Experience with sales or fundraising strategies.
+ Experience managing volunteers.
