We're seeking an intermediate Development Quality Engineer to join our team in Littleton, Colorado to support industrial and aerospace product development and drive excellence in this rapidly evolving field.

 

What You Will Do

 

Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement to establish and maintain quality standards for industrial and aerospace projects. Review and approve product and process validations, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and industry standards. Develop and implement inspection and control plans for additive manufacturing processes. Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and export control regulations, staying up-to-date with relevant requirements. Conduct risk assessments and FMEAs, addressing potential risks throughout the product lifecycle. Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Provide supplier quality support by qualifying suppliers and monitoring compliance with aerospace and industrial standards. Provide quality input during design reviews, improving manufacturability and product reliability. Support internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are compliant. Maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, inspection reports, and work instructions. Train and mentor teams on quality standards and regulatory compliance, fostering continuous improvement. *

What You Will Bring

 

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, aerospace, or a related field. This role includes development of parts covered under ITAR. Prior security clearance a plus. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace and/or industrial manufacturing industries. Applied understanding of applicable quality management requirements and practices; AS9100, NADCAP, etc. Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards for export controls and handling of government contracts (e.g. ITAR, EAR, etc.). Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications a must. Qualified candidate should have a strong applied understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams required. Prior experience completing FAIR documentation (First Article Inspection Report) is strongly preferred. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to product quality and continuous improvement. Proficiency with statistical analysis techniques and Design of Experiments desired, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is a plus.

Salary Range\: $77,000 - $95,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data). In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance. 3D Systems offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid basic life insurance.
