The Opportunity

As a Device Engineering Architect you will serve as a technical expert within our Device Engineering team. Reporting to the Device Engineering Service Owner, this role focuses on designing and implementing advanced device management solutions with an emphasis on security and efficiency, leveraging management technologies such as Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune. This role is looking for someone who can think critically about complex desktop solutions and can architect and engineer those solutions to meet the needs of a global pharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership and Design:Design and architect endpoint management solutions using Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune, ensuring seamless deployment and management of devices.Ability to architect and engineer complex desktop solutions and then turn those into work instructions and processes for our support and field services teams.Strong understanding and appreciation for endpoint security and management, ensuring rapid response to threats and maintaining high levels of compliance across all managed devices.Security and Compliance:Enhance security measures through advanced remote connectivity functionalities to monitor and mitigate potential threats through encrypted traffic, secure access to cloud applications, and prevent data breaches.Leverage desktop and vulnerability management capabilities to gain real-time visibility and control over endpoints, manage patches, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.Technical Expertise and Problem Solving:Provide high-level technical expertise in complex endpoint configurations and security challenges.Serve as a technical escalation point for resolving sophisticated issues related to device and network security.Experience with desktop management in a highly regulated pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.  This environment requires minimal downtime, piloting changes, working with change windows and coordinating deployments and patching during off hours.Strong skills in legacy desktop management with Microsoft SCCM, on-premises active directory, group policy, DNS, and multiple domains.Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for desktop management is a plus.Innovation and Process Improvement:Evaluate cutting-edge technologies to enhance the endpoint management lifecycle.Lead initiatives to drive innovations in device management and security that improve operational efficiency and user experience.Collaborative Projects and Team Development:Work closely with IT security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in Device Engineering or related fieldStrong expertise in endpoint configuration and management using Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory and Microsoft Intune technologiesExpertise in legacy remote connectivity options and troubleshootingExpertise in zero-trust device environmentsProven ability to manage large-scale technology deployments and security projectsStrong knowledge of scripting automation (ex. PowerShell)Proficiency in English (both spoken and written)

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator AssociateCertifications in remote desktop connectivity considered a plusCertifications in endpoint security and management

Salary

As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 5400 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
