Job Description:

 

DevOps/Cloud Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the DC area. Falls Church client is looking to bring on a DevOps Engineer to establish, configure, automate and support a variety of computer environments. An Engineer that is well versed in Linux (load balancing / set-up / security) and AWSto help with ongoing development initiatives will be best suited for this opportunity.

Responsibilities: 

 

Establish, configure, automate, and support dev environments. Work closely with Senior Management. Use wide variety of open source techs and cloud services.Support multi-tier Dev, QA, Prod environments. Managing Windows and Linux / Unix servers.OS patches & upgrades.Perform periodic performance reporting / tuning / hardware upgrades.

Must haves: 

Strong Linux/Unix Scripting.AWS.Cloud Automation .Configuration Management Tools (Chef / Puppet).Security.Bash or Shell scripting.
