What You Will DoStryker is currently hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will be a vital part of our DevOps team, responsible for maintaining, designing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines as well as developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for public cloud. Additionally, you will oversee day-to-day operations of various internal and external SaaS products. We emphasize automation of operational tasks and are seeking an operational engineer with a developer mindset. As a member of a small team, your ability to learn quickly and work independently is crucial. You will take ownership of your work and results. 

You will design, implement, and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines.  You will write, plan, and create reproducible Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Manage Terraform modules for reusability across different environments. You will implement monitoring, tracing, and logging systems using system of Observability. Analyze application performance and debug issues using observability data. You will troubleshoot and resolve OS (Operating System) issues, optimize system performance, and ensure high availability of services. You will design and implement network solutions to support the infrastructure.You will manage network protocols, software, and infrastructure including VPNs, DNS, and network security. You will monitor application performance and system availability, design and implement disaster recovery plans. You will track and implement compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI)You will participate in incident response for customer and stakeholder issues.You will demonstrate knowledge and practical experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub. You will use your proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines following best practices.You will utilize your skills in managing application and infrastructure configurations, with a focus on handling sensitive information securely.You will channel your enthusiasm for automating workflows, paying meticulous attention to details, and collaborating effectively across Engineering, Support, and Product Management teams.You will use your strong communication and analytical skills, enabling you to convey complex design concepts persuasively to diverse audiences.You will be proficient in work item tracking, capturing service notes, and meticulous documentation.You will bring your proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-class on-premises and cloud solutions from concept to production release.You will have a solid understanding of Linux OS, Git, SSL, SSH, and certificate management.You will solve complex problems by adapting technology through online resources and collaboration within the team.You will have an opportunity to continue to invest in your keen interest in modern DevOps practices and tools.You will provide on call work as needed

What You Need Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field4+ years of experience developing and maintaining pipelines in in Azure DevOps or GitLab or GitHub for applications and services in the public cloud (Azure, AWS)

$98,000 - $210,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
