The Vulnerability Management program is a core component of Asurion’s security capabilities. The mission is to deliver and maintain a central location to store and review all vulnerabilities, to optimize remediation efforts based on the risk to Asurion, and to continually integrate new data sources, risk models, engagement with interna customers and improve based on feedback.
The Security Development team integrates a broad range of software security tools (SAST, SCA, DAST, etc.), both commercial and custom built, and paves the road for internal customers. Automation and high availability are critical, as well as the empathy for developers’ and DevOps engineer’s ever-expanding responsibilities. Providing simple, but effective solutions is critical to enterprise success.
This role will contribute to the administration and continuous improvement of the software security and vulnerability management tools used by Asurion’s global enterprise. They will be expected to partner with teams throughout the global organization to assist with onboarding them into the tools and collecting feedback on the user experience.
The candidate must have experience with working as a team to develop coding projects, with experience in Python and Groovy being preferred. A candidate should have experience working with APIs to extract and input data as part of integrating and automating processes. They must be comfortable engaging with team members in a global environment with empathy and clear communication.

Day to Day tasks:

Administration and enhancement of our software security and vulnerability management tools, empowering teams to maintain the security of Asurion.Collaborate with teams throughout the global enterprise to better understand their needs, then translate that into extensions or customizations of our existing capabilities.Design, develop, deploy, and support custom enterprise tools using AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.Perform internal consulting to assist journey teams in adopting best practices for their enterprise applications.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering and CI/CD technologies and processes3+ years of experience with Python, Node.js, Groovy, or Java3+ years hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google3+ years practical experience with code release management, deployment automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines; past work with Jenkins, Artifactory, Atlassian Jira, and Git repositories are all plussesDemonstrated ability to build positive relationships across teams, preferably in a global enterprise environmentExperience with SIEM tools, machine learning technologies and/or penetration testing a plusThe perseverance to drive hard problems to resolution under supervised guidanceStrong sense of ownership over your workThe ability and the desire to learn new technologies quicklyBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
