Job Summary:
This person will be part of our digital engineering organization and will work with our development teams and our DevSecOps team to help increase our maturity and capabilities.  The position is responsible for release management, process improvement and working directly with teams to implement change in our CI/CD implementation.The DevOps Engineer will partner with internal development teams and 3rd party operations support to facilitate needed changes in our ecosystem.  The person will be expected to gain a good understanding of the current state of our technology and identify areas for improvement and then implement those changes.

Where is the work:
This position is a virtual role. 

Responsibilities: 

Serve as Release Manager for our Trane Home, Trane Diagnostics and IoT Pipeline products.Champion and implement leading practices in CI/CD pipelines including leveraging available automation tools.Partner with internal and external people and teams to develop a high degree of confidence in the way that our software products are built and deployed.Help to drive change and educate our teams on cyber security issues and remediation techniques with respect to things like static code analysis as part of a build pipeline.Collaborate Effectively with Team MembersGood listener.Able to evangelize new approaches based on established design patterns and leading edge paradigms.Able to lead through influence and determine best ways to communicate with other staff members in order to be most effective.Patient enough to mentor junior team members.Assertive enough to propose new approaches to problems.Skillful in tactful communication.Pragmatic in approach to tools/technologies and programming languages.  It is good to propose new ideas but you must also maintain existing solutions where re-writing is not an option.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in software engineering.Visibility to and understanding of multiple development technologiesComfortable having deep technical discussions with the most senior of software engineersExperience working with full stack environments and deploying software to large scale, mission-critical applications.Understanding of build pipelines, large data storage and steaming data systems at scale.Knowledge of and experience in Agile software development practices.GitHub Actions, Docker/containerization, AWS Cloud infrastructure experience

Compensation: 

Annual Base Compensation: $105,500 – 140,000
