DevOps Engineer

TEKsystems has a client that is seeking a hybrid DevOps Engineer:
Support and develop automation solutions that enable our product teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently. Ensure that systems have reliability and availability appropriate for customer needs. Encourage tool adoption to help teams with their observability and automation needs. Leverage and recommend cloud technologies that result in fast provisioning and appropriate reliability. Perform root cause analysis of development and production issues. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Skills Required:
Experience using advanced software configuration management (source control, devops, ci/cd, etc) Proficiency in Linux (any current distro, Red Hat Enterprise Linux / RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) or Unix operation systems and Windows. Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Ruby, etc). Experience using 3rd party tools (Artifactory, Jenkins, GitHub, etc). Experience with Grafana and Prometheus. Excellent communication/documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies such as: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, GKE, or GCP
Experience Required:
5+ years software engineering, automation, and tools experience in a variety of contexts
Experience building and configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Skills
Springboot, Angular, Rest, GCP, Microservices, API
Additional Skills & Qualifications
o Would like candidates to be familiar with embedded build systems
Ex. Autosar
o Their team is creating software for hardware
o SW Dev Process (differences in how it is built)
o Primarily Linux builds/ mix of windows as well
o Most important: CI/CD - Jenkins/GitHub Actions
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
