In a nutshell
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, optimizing and supporting the implementation of Cloud Native standards and DevOps heuristics.
You will act as the liaison between cloud architects, regional and local IT teams; in addition to local business stakeholders . Based on the knowledge, you will help application teams modernize their applications to suit cloud-based deployment and modern authentication.
Where will you be based and what business will you support?
Based in Barcelona, Spain; you will be part of and ongoing global IT transformation programme that is currently working on enhancements to provide hands-on IT support at in-scope locations covering IT infrastructure services such as: Azure Cloud solutions, containers, networks, automation, DevOps. The team supports and coaches regional and local IT teams to create a resilient, repeatable and sustainable IT landscape that is tailored to business requirements.
How can you help us?
You will:
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions on Azure;
• Manage and optimize multiple Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, Rancher);
• Implement and maintain the Terraform- based release solution;
• Collaborate, consult, train and support different IT teams to implement the new standards
• Help various IT teams cover major incidents;
• Contact regional IT team, collect requirements and implement standard operating procedures;
• Deploy an application landing zone in your Azure environment using the Terraform framework;
• Work with an ITIL and DevOps approach to solving technical problems. Troubleshoot problems that arise;
• Work with application teams to accommodate cloud requirements;
• Serving as an escalation point for all IT teams to do support and troubleshooting;
• Provide quality documentation, enabling smooth day-to-day operations;
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the IT infrastructure and operations, architecture, application and security teams;
• Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, and simplify delivery by contributing Terraform code.
Are you our kind of extraordinary?
You have:
• At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience in complex IT environments, IT Services and their relationships. Including:
+ Microsoft Azure (operations and infrastructure) experience.
+ Experience in Azure OR AWS Cloud engineering.
+ Good Linux/Windows OS administration and scripting skills (DSC preferred)
+ Deep knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and similar products, e.g. AKS, EKS.
+ Monitoring and alerting systems experience. E.g. DataDog, Icinga, Nagios
+ Experience with Security and Registration Tools.
+ Identity and access management experience, using Azure AD
+ Automation and implementation experience with Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm or Azure DevOps.
+ GitOps experience
+ Software distribution and software packaging experience
+ Solid networking knowledge
+ English language skills, at an advanced level
+ A positive attitude in the face of challenges

• Able to learn and think out-of-the-box.
• Capable of performing code analysis and reverse engineering.
