DevOps Engineer

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining processes for deploying large-scale software architectures. In this position, you will utilize tools such as Docker, GitLab, and Ansible to handle the configuration and deployment of software to test and production environments. Responsibilities: + Deploy DevSecOps practices for automating the software engineering practices across multiple teams and projects. + Ensure we have solid, foundational processes in place. The design decisions you will make in this position will have a direct and lasting impact on the success of the entire software team and organization. + Drive modern software development practices across multiple, agile teams. + The DevOps Engineer will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and identify key technologies and architecture design patterns used by the team. + Stand up multiple agile development teams and will oversee the instantiation of DevOps pipelines in both on-prem and cloud environments Work Environment: + Location: Onsite + Travel Requirements: Minimal + Working Hours: Standard Qualifications: Required: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. + 3+ years in software development, infrastructure design, or DevOps + Proven experience in a senior DevOps role, demonstrating leadership and innovation. + Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. + Strong expertise in CI/CD tools, especially GitLab + Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible). + Demonstrated proficiency in containerization and orchestration. + Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and GCP + Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration. + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. + Must have an active Top Secret security clearance. Desired: + 5+ years in software development in a classified working environment + Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or Kubernetes Administrator. + Experience with microservices architectures. + Experience with CI/CD on classified software development networks. + Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack). + Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
