Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a DevOps Engineer based out of Hollywood, MD. Our Team works on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production.Set up Development, Test, and Build environments for the teamWork with various team members to create a product for deliveriesCreate and update Windows installersInstall, test, and verify software productsMaintain multiple baseline repositoriesProvide support to team members with issues relate to build and installation.Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures.Basic Qualifications:
DevOps Engineer Requirements:
BS or higher degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or related field from an ABET accredited university2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software build management OR 1 year experience with a master’s degree in a related discipline.Active secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 yearsDemonstrated experience with DevOps engineering principalsKnowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) PracticesExperience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, JenkinsDevelopment experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl, unixExperience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++)Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following tools: GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Ansible, VisualBuild, InstallShieldAbility to work on-site in Hollywood, MDPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Windows-based ApplicationsExperience specifically with these tools: InstallShield, Kinook Visual Build ProFamiliarity with Agile and Scrum methodologySoftware testing experienceProficiency in one or more of the following: C#, .NET Framework, Java, C/C++Expert Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and proven Automation/Coding experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficienciesExcellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skillsCurrent DoD Secret or Top Secret ClearanceSalary Range: $87,200.00 - $130,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
