Job Description

To automate the processes between software development and IT teams to enable continuous delivery through designing, developing, testing and releasing software frequently, faster and more reliably in an agile environment

To ensure continuous delivery through continuous integration and continuous deployment Using Lean thinking, ensure continuous improvement and collaboration between development testing and operationsIncrease operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectivenessControl costs for business areaPlan, implement, manage and report on cost effectiveness and communicate or escalate any variancesManage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability and contribute to the development of policyBuild relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-inEngage in cross-functional relationships to obtain and to provide work supportContribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking, benchmarking and representation on related forumsAssess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process i.e. gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes

Minimum Qualification

MatricBachelor's degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field  would be beneficial

Additional Requirements

Experience on ITIL methodologies, e.g. Capacity management, availability management, monitoring, incident, change, release, problem, etc, etcExperience on working in an Agile environmentAWS practitioner qualificationRHCSA (Redhat Certified Systems Administrator), RHCE (RedHat Certified Engineer) or similar Linux certificationsExperience - 4-6 years’ experience of which 3 years should be in the Automation and Cloud space.Intermediate experience on working on databases

Technical Skills Required

Application support experienceABle to read code. e.g. javaSenior Linux experienceAutomation tooling:Bamboo or JenkinsAnsible or Chef, Puppet, etcSenior Cloud experience to:AWSAzureCloud automation toolingContainerisation, knowledge on either of the below:RancherRaw KubernetesOpenShiftUnderstanding and implementation of monitoring tooling and alertingExposure to Architecting from an Infra/Cloud perspectiveKnowledge of IT Security practices, including:Certificates and KeysAccess managementCyber securityUnderstanding of how the following work:NetworksWAFFirewallsLayer 7 networksArchitect and are able to implement Highly available systems
