Learn more at www.my529.org. **Background** We are currently seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer to help maintain and grow our CI/CD pipeline, while simultaneously containerizing, then migrating our on-prem applications into AWS . Leveraging tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, and Octopus Deploy, with a focus on “shifting left” and strengthening the security portion of DevSecOps. **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities include:** + Drives DevOps strategy to automate tasks, define standards, tool selection, and implement best practice methodology. + Develops/Implements scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various internal platforms (CI and CD tools). + Partners with PM/BA on release management including the scheduling, coordinating, and deployment of releases. + Collaborates with DBA on automating script deployment as part of an overall release package. + Leads the design and implementation of pipelines to automate software delivery from development to production. + Works with QA automation engineers, developers and the security team to integrate testing tools into the pipeline. + Incorporates DevOps activities within an Agile environment. **Minimum Qualifications** **Qualifications include:** + 2+ years of DevOps experience + 1+ year of AWS /Cloud experience + 1+ year of container orchestration experience (ideally Kubernetes) + Advanced use of HELM , YAML , Bash and/or PowerShell scripting + Understanding of hybrid cloud environments + Experience with C#, . NET , and JavaScript is a bonus **Successful candidates should have experience in the following:** + Implementing and supporting DevOps pipelines with a CI/CD tool focus on GitLab, Jenkins and Octopus Deploy. + Containerizing applications using Docker, preferably those comprised of a React front-end and . NET back-end. + Using Kubernetes ( HELM ) for container orchestration. + Experience with AWS including EC2, ECR , Load balancing, S3, VPC , etc. + Using Git (GitLab) for code/repository management. + Parameterizing and automating environment configuration settings. + Experience working with a security team to ‘shift left’ and follow DevSecOps practices. + Experience with systems administration in Linux and Windows environments. **Preferences** 6 years in a DevOps position implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid cloud environment will be considered in lieu of education and experience requirement. **Type** Benefited Staff **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
