DevOps Engineer – Intermediate – TS/SCI required

HOW A DEVOPS ENGINEER – INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

A DevOps engineer introduces processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment, to maintenance and updates.

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability and integrity of the Database Management System (DBMS).

Directs the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database

Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes

Builds new Microsoft SQL Server Instances within on-premise architecture collaborating with other teams (Storage, Domain, Systems) to implement industry best practices.

Mitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projects

Possesses knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment

Requires a proficiency in the use of one or more web technologies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

Clearance Level: TS/SCI

Certification(s): IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent

Education: Associate’s Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 7 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 5 years of experience

Required Skillset:

Coordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineer (DBE)s. Direct the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views. Direct the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies

Create database structures and interfaces to meet customers’ requirements; develop, administers, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database and performs database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements

Additional:

Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
