We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team responsible for the development and operations of our critical train planning systems, also known as TPS.live.

About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for automating and optimizing the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our train planning applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with our software development, IT operations, and business teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities:Support our delivery team in automating the application lifecycle through build, test, stage, and production environments by using DevOps and continuous delivery/deployment best practices.Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of train planning applicationsManage and optimize the infrastructure (on-premises and cloud) that supports our train planning systemsImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issuesCollaborate with developers to integrate DevOps practices and tooling into the software development lifecycleAutomate provisioning, configuration, and management of development, testing, and production environmentsEnsure security, compliance, and reliability of the train planning systems and infrastructureAnalyze performance metrics and find opportunities for optimization and improvementDocument processes, procedures, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and team growthParticipate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systemsWe're looking for someone who has: 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar roleProficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CIFamiliarity with cloud platforms and high availability solutions (e.g., AWS) and their DevOps servicesKnowledge of RabbitMQAdvanced experience with MySQL (version >5.7) for handling high performance and availability requirementsKnowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana)Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-functional teamsExperience in the transportation or logistics industry, particularly with train planning systems and knowledge of railway operations and train planning processes are a plusCertifications in cloud platforms, DevOps tools, or IT service management are a plusWhat you can expect from us:
