HOW A SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Designs and defines the DecSecOps architecture for new or existing IT systems. Has the ability to both write clean, working code and has commanding knowledge of traditional operations tasks. Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing. Manages and documents system configurations. Assists with deployment of new product features.  

Job Duties:

Configure CI/CD for multiple web applicationsTake source code, dependencies to perform application buildsPerform automated testing and security scansDeploy to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations)Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration managementAuthor helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShiftManage and document system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system, architecture to demonstrate security compliance  

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required:

5-8+ years of experienceBachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technologyProficiency with Linux operating systemsExperience with GitWorking experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)Ability to manage networking for web applications by understanding PCP/IP, DNS, and load balancingFamiliarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWS, GCP, and/or AzureExperience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)Knowledgeable of including containerization, monitoring & logging, and network & securityExperience deploying and managing databases, interacting with databases via SQL and ORMsComfortable using Python and BASH to create systems toolingAbility to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositoriesExperience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applicationsExperience with integrating security components with applications and databasesTS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
