We are looking for you to join our team as a DevOps Engineering Manager 1 based out of Baltimore, MD.
SW&DT CM/DevOps is part of Mission Systems SW&DT Synergy organization and supports multiple programs around Baltimore, MD. This group is responsible for maintaining the health of the tactical code baselines of programs, helping the engineering teams they support utilize modern tooling, implementing automation, finding opportunities for process improvement, and generally helping our engineering teams be as successful as possible.
The technical areas of expertise for this group include:
Software and digital configuration management that follows standard Mission Systems Sector CM processes during project life cycle
Processes that support code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment pipelines and DevOps
Agile coaching and software process mentoring
Primary Responsibilities:
This is a working manager role that will be approximately 90% direct program support and 10% functional management under supervision of a Section Lead.
Management Responsibilities:
Day-to-day functional management of the SW&DT CM/DevOps engineers
Staff planning and administration
Workload forecasts
Mentoring and career development
Performance Reviews and Engagement
Leadership through effective reuse and process improvement
Execution of strategic vision within SW&DT CM/DevOps which is consistent with the goals and vision set forth by SW&DT Synergy
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance prior to starting.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practices
Candidate must have strong communication and people leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior professional work experience in Software or Digital Configuration Management, DevOps, or related area
Experience with configuration and administration of DevOps tools such as Jenkins
Experience in development and maintenance of Jenkins Pipelines & scripts
Experience with multiple tools and environments (Git, Bitbucket, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows)
Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
Management of teams (direct or indirect)

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $181,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
