**DevOps Lead** **Category:** Project Management **Main location:** United States, Virginia, Alexandria **Position ID:** J0624-0158 **Employment Type:** Full Time **Position Description:** CGI Federal is seeking a technical expert and leader with implementation experience in software development and cloud technologies to bolster our capabilities and contribute to business development. The ideal candidate has strong experience with software development, systems operations, software integrations and designing and maintaining complex systems architecture within a 3rd party cloud environments. This position is located in our Alexendria, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** • Act as Technical Lead within project teams to lead and oversee project delivery including new feature implementations, architecture improvements, security compliance, patch management, maintenance activities and daily operations. • Plan, manage, and provides technical oversight for operational activities. Provides competent leadership, and highly specialized and technical guidance to complex solutions architecture challenges, including but not limited to, designing solutions, evaluating technologies, providing resolution to technical problems from ongoing delivery work. • Gathers customer’s business requirements, translating those requirements into cost-effective solution strategies, frame-works and architectures; guides the implementation of these solutions to deliver high quality results to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner. • Acts as a key interface to the client and CGI management for the DevOps team. • Provides expertise in applying the client standards and policies for technical activities to a specific system or function. • Propose solutions with least operational requirements of compute resources and manual tasks, keeping the total investment in line with the business value gained. • Stays abreast of current industry trends through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • Experience and understanding of n-tier technical architectures (web servers, application servers, database servers) in a high performance and highly available deployment. • Experience and skills with RDBMS (Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL) concepts include basic Database Administration concepts, DDL and DML SQL execution and diagnosing performance issues. • Ability to manage multiple complex development efforts and resources through the agile process including testing, content management and integration with other systems. Experience working on large scale service based integrations. • Experience with AWS CI/CD tools such as CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy etc • Experience with AWS native managed services such as ECS Fargate, Elastic Container Registry (ECR), CloudFormation, S3, Incident Manager, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Fault Injection Service (FIS) • 8+ years of system operations or systems development experience • 3+ years of technical management/leadership experience. • 3+ years of systems architecture experience Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recover concepts and architecture. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
