We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aDevSecOps Engineerto join a leading Company located in theAlexandria, VAsurrounding area.This position can be fully remote.
Pay Range: $55.28 - $60.09

We are seeking a passionate and skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our high-performing development team. Provide support to the ongoing implementation of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline that supports the program. Experience with the core toolset utilized in the program's pipeline or similar tools will allow you to operate at the appropriate level for this role. An in-depth knowledge of tool interactions within the pipeline will allow to you support troubleshooting of issues.
Responsibilities :
+ The DevSecOps Engineer must be able to quickly learn business workflows, technical architecture, and dependent systems of the supported services
+ You will be working with AWS, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker/Podman, ECS, Terraform, Ansible, or an equivalent wide array of tools that you have used in the past
+ Ensure continuous availability of various DevOps tools supporting SCM & Release Management including Source Control, Containerization, Continuous Integration, & Change Management (Gitlab, Docker, JIRA, SonarQube, Terraform, AWS CLI)
+ Work with cross-functional co-located teams in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring, self-healing, and facilitating autonomous delivery teams
+ Will operate as a technical expert on DevOps infrastructure projects pertaining to Containerization, systems management, design, and architecture
+ Perform performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, and problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation
+ Integrate newly developed and existing applications into private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
+ Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure, and reliable manner
+ Leverage application monitoring tools to troubleshoot and diagnose environmental issues
+ This position is contingent upon a contract award
Basic Hiring Criteria :
+ Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant experience or MA/MS degree or higher and 3 years relevant experience
+ Minimum 5 Years of Functional experience supporting DevOps/DevSecOps to reengineer and automate the software development process
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps pipeline tools and technologies, including Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus RM/IQ, SonarQube, Docker, Gitlab CI/CD, Flexera AppPortal, Maven, Splunk, Cloudforms, Puppet, and Kubernetes
+ Extensive experience implementing build and deploy pipelines using Gitlab
+ Must have been a permanent resident in the US for the last 2 years minimum
+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust
Desired Qualifications :
+ Experience working in a large software development program using Agile development methodology
+ Experienced in the development of end-to-end solutions supporting deployments across multiple environments
+ Familiar with various branching strategies
+ Able to demonstrate in-depth technical expertise in DevSecOps techniques, continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous deployment
+ Capable of implementing automated methods that improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, and problem resolution related to the CI/CD pipeline toolchain
+ Experience provisioning and managing resources within IaaS/Cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc)
+ Experience with the NIST family of Information Security-related publications including 800-37, 800-53, and OMB Circular A-130
+ Experience with at least some of the following technologies and techniques: CI/CD, Java, Python, JavaScript, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, Configuration Management, Test Automation, Test Driven Development, Behavior-Driven testing, DevSecOps Collaboration, Rally, Gradle, AWS, Terraform, Apache Ant, Apache Jmeter, Azure
+ AWS experience and certifications a plus
+ Experience developing and/or integrating with Artificial Intelligence (ML, NLP, etc) models is a plus
