The team

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of security practices into our cloud infrastructure and development pipelines.

The role

Manage and optimize Azure security solutions, including Azure Security Center, Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault, to ensure a secure cloud environment. Implement and manage Azure networking security components such as NSGs, ASGs, and Azure Firewall to safeguard cloud infrastructure and applications. Implement security best practices for containers and Kubernetes using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and ensure that containerized applications are securely deployed and managed. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to securely provision and manage Azure resources. Set up and configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Policy to maintain security posture and governance across the cloud infrastructure. Ensure the security of CI/CD pipelines by integrating security tools such as static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and automated testing. Automate security tasks, including monitoring, alerting, and remediation, using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Work with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef to manage secure configuration and deployment of cloud infrastructure. Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001 to meet regulatory and organizational requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks in both cloud and on-premises environments. Perform risk assessments and identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing the necessary remediation strategies. Contribute to continuous improvement of security practices by reviewing and evolving the security posture based on emerging threats and best practices. Provide technical expertise and support for security incident investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation.

What you’ll bring

5+ years of experience in a security engineering role, with a strong focus on network security, application security, and security frameworks. Expertise in Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel, and Key Vault. Proficiency with Azure networking security components like NSGs, ASGs, and Azure Firewall. Experience with container security for Docker and Kubernetes, particularly using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for secure Azure resource provisioning. Strong experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Policy for cloud governance and security monitoring. Proven ability to integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure code delivery. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef to automate and enforce security configurations. Understanding of industry-standard security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation of security-related tasks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying and mitigating security risks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes in all aspects of security implementation and automation. Proficiency with JIRA and other project management tools to track security tasks, incidents, and improvements. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, Azure Security Engineer, Certified DevSecOps Professional, or equivalent are a plus. Must be US Citizen

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $130k-$140k base+ Bonus+ Benefits. The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Service's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
