Job Description . A skilled and proactive DevSecOps Engineer drives the integration of development, security, and operational workflows, embedding automation and monitoring throughout the software lifecycle for on[1]premise and cloud applications. This role will enhance systems' efficiency and reliability, advocate for best practices in CI/CD, and ensure security measures are incorporated to meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will balance dynamic business needs with the optimization of system performance, promoting a culture of security, innovation, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Design and implement seamless development, security, and operational workflows to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Enhance systems' efficiency by embedding automation and monitoring at every stage of the software lifecycle. Collaborate proactively with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks in workflows. Act as a liaison between teams to ensure alignment on goals, processes, and security measures. Advocate for and implement best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Ensure rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of features and updates to production environments. Embed security measures into development and operational processes, protecting infrastructure from potential threats. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and security assessments. Optimize system reliability, performance, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of the business. Implement robust monitoring solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues. Advocate for a culture of security awareness, emphasizing its importance in agile and innovative environments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and team practices. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Seven (7) years experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or a related role on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Takes initiative, detail-oriented, problem solver, willing to ask questions, clear communicator Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security frameworks Proficient in Python (Fast API or similar Python API experience) High emotional intelligence and sensitivity Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills Able to analyze, think quickly and resolve conflict Able to adapt to a changing environment Skilled at supporting multiple clients at a time Self-motivated, and able to maintain a professional, positive, can-do attitude while staying focused in the middle of distraction Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field That pay for this position ranges from $50-58/hr with a conversion salary of $120,000 - $130,000 depending on years of experience.
