**Job Description** **CNC Surface Grinding Machinist** This position is responsible for setting up and working on grinding machines to grind internal and external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal pieces. **A Day In The Life** + Grind external or internal cylindrical tapered surfaces. + Remove metal by the application of abrasives which are bonded to form a rotating wheel. + Rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces. + Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints. + Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground. + Complete all labor tracking requirements scan workorders to track labor and part quantities + Collect and assemble required products. + Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used. + Perform other tasks assigned by Supervisor + Willing to work overtime **What will help you thrive in this role?** + High School diploma or GED. + At least 5years of Metal Grinding experience. + Ability to read and write English. + Advanced math skills. + Must be able to physically lift 35 lbs. **Assignment Type** **DIRECT HIRE** **Work Hours** **1ST Shift: MONDAY-FRIDAY 6AM-2:30PM** with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs. **Pay Rate** **$28-$30** ) **Education Requirements** High school diploma or GED preferred. **This is a Full-Time opportunity, and this company has exceptional benefits:** + Medical/Dental/Vision + 401K (up to 7% Company Contribution) + 11 Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick Time + Tuition Assistance + Opportunities for Advancement **Pay Details:** $28.00 to $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
