We are looking for a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (DCES) to join our Pediatrics Specialty Clinic at our downtown Fresno Campus! The Clinic comprises six CCS special care centers and three newborn screening special care centers serving diverse and complex cases like cardiology, pulmonary, endocrinology, and more. Here, you will be responsible for keeping the patient's primary physician informed about the patient's status. From performing comprehensive management of blood glucose to educating patients on diabetes control, the opportunity for growth in the continuum of care for patients will constantly be provided. 


Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Graduate of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) program required

Licenses and Certifications

CDCES - Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist required within 2 years of hire or transfer into positionBLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredOne of the following is required:RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of CaliforniaRD - CDR Registered DietitianLCSW - State of California Licensed Clinical Social Worker
