Job Summary: The Diabetes Care Assistant provides advanced secretarial, billing, registration and referral processing services for the Diabetes Treatment Center (DTC). Maintains patient consultation rooms and classroom and assists with ensuring efficient clinic operations. Utilizes critical thinking skills to resolve issues obstructing effective office and department operations. Performs duties using electronic systems and applications as required for the position. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service and professionalism. Promotes a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of college or vocational education preferred. Minimum one year of administrative secretarial support, billing, or registration experience required.
