Responsibilities

Responsible for the oversight of the Diabetes Program. Assesses and educates patients. Oversees the appropriate data collection. Develops educational programs and strategies to meet goals of the department and hospital.


Qualifications
Two years’ experience educating diabetic patients in an outpatient or clinic setting.Three years’ experience teaching diabetic patients. Experience in a leadership position in a diabetes outpatient or clinic settingBachelor’s degree in Foods & Nutrition or Dietetics. Diabetes Educator CertificationRegistered Dietitian.Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferredMasters Degree in Public Health or related field or Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management preferred.
