This is an hourly position. This position also includes a $2.50 weekend shift differential for any weekend shifts worked. Overview Join our team, at St. Joe's, a hospital that has proudly achieved its fourth Magnet designation. $18,000 Sign on Bonus POSITION SUMMARY: The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Is responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. They operate imaging equipment proficiently, have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in all patient populations and may confer with Providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine whether additional images are required. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree. Licensure/ Certification: - ARRT Registration is required at hire or within 2 years of hire after sitting for registration within 6 months of hire - American Heart Association (BLS). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: - Previous experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology - Previous experience in customer service/patient experience setting Licensure/ Certification: - Care Coordination/Transitions, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
