Diagnostic Laboratory Technologist
**Overview** Fairview is looking for a full time Diagnostic Laboratory Technician at M Health Fairview Clinic - Rice Street (https://mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-clinic---rice-street) . Primary hours are 10:00-6:30pm Monday-Thursday, and 9:00-5:30pm on Friday, with one weekend shift per month at M Health Fairview Highland Park Urgent Care (https://www.mhealthfairview.org/locations/M-Health-Fairview-Urgent-Care---Highland-Park) . Additional locations this position may support are M Health Fairview Clinic - Roselawn (https://mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-clinic---roselawn) , M Health Fairview Clinic - Midway (https://mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-clinic---midway) , M Health Fairview Clinic - Riverside (https://www.mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-clinic---riverside) and M Health Fairview Clinic - New Brighton (https://mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-clinic---new-brighton) . **Responsibilities Job Description** The DLT plays an important role in providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services to diverse populations within an ambulatory healthcare environment. The Diagnostic Laboratory Technician performs waived or moderate complexity testing, correlates data-based knowledge of technical and instrumental conditions affecting testing results and performs quality control procedures within established parameters. This position will also be involved with the preparation or procurement of specimens used for high complexity and research testing, ensuring efficient workflow and may schedule tests and provide results as appropriate. The DLT works independently under general supervision. Job Expectations: follow established guidelines to obtain specimens, perform testing and report results, consistently implement and adhere to the laboratory customer service standards. The standards include promoting teamwork, successful communication, and conflict resolution, supports and adheres to laboratory SOPs, quality assurance, performance improvement and compliance programs recognizing trends and identifying when additional reporting, communication or other action is appropriate. Demonstrates competency and compliance with all regulatory agency policies.
