As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic sonographic imaging through the application of non-ionizing, high-frequency soundwaves for patients of all ages as directed by physicians, while always maintaining patient safety.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and in good standing.Certifications:
If working within the OBGYN/Women’s Health Institute, must be a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within one year of hire. Certification within OB/GYN (RDMS, OB/GYN) must be obtained within one year of hire.If working within the Imaging Institute, must be a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(S) or RT(VS) upon hire. Must have one certification within Abdominal (RDMS, AB), OB/GYN (RDMS, OB/GYN) or Vascular (RVT, VT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) upon hire. The other two certifications must be obtained within 18 months of hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience:
Minimum of one year experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred.Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
