Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently recruiting for **Diagnostic Medical Sonographers** in **Gillette, WY** .
**Pay:** $73,000 to $88,000 Annually and $5,000 sign-on bonus!
**Type:** Direct Hire, Permanent
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Prepares for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, replenishing stock as needed, reviewing physician orders and patient schedules, readying recording equipment and inputting patient information.
+ Programming and adjusting the scanner for the specific procedure and ensuring the transducer captures images from every angle or section as needed.
+ Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
+ Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
+ Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the sonographic area/department.
+ Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and providing support.
+ Decide which still images, or sonograms to capture and present to the physician for diagnostic purposes.
+ Keeps job-related knowledge up to date by taking advantage of educational opportunities, networking, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations.
+ Ensuring patients are comfortable by answering any questions they have about the tests.
+ Uses the electronic health records system with accuracy and enters patient charges as required.
+ Performs IV insertion for IV contrast studies
+ Checking prior authorizations and scheduling patients
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ Associates Degree in Applied Science
+ RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalency.
+ BLS certification from American Heart Association
+ 3+ years of Sonographer experience
+ RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) credentials, willing to train if needed
