Diagnostic Radiographer - Full Time
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **Position Purpose:** The Diagnostic Radiographer will provide patient care by producing diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the radiologists in the Radiology Department. **What you will do:** + Completes all diagnostic procedures as described in the diagnostic policy and procedure manual. + Instructs student technologists and peers as required. + Performs all departmental and hospital standard work as required. + Responsible for generating, reviewing, submitting, and completing diagnostic images as required. + Monitors diagnostic area, O.R. and ED for safety and uses safe radiation practices. + Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. + Follows MercyOne's culture beliefs in helping to obtain Mercy's Key Results. + Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work-related area and ensures equipment is in working condition. **Hours/Schedule:** Full Time; 36 hours/week **Minimum Qualifications:** + Shall be credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). + Must possess current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice in Radiography. + Must be flexible for the staffing of all shifts, weekends, and holidays. + Possesses organizational skills to prioritize duties. + Must be able to read, write and/or speak English + Must provide proof of **Basic Life Support** ( **BLS Provider** -American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer-American Red Cross) prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status. + Must provide proof of **Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse** training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status. **Position Highlights and Benefits** + Education Assistance offered + Relocation Stipend offered to those relocating 50 miles or greater + Effective Day 1 Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, and more) for positions 16 hours per week or greater + Competitive wages; including weekend and night differentials + Generous paid time off program + Retirement Savings program with employer match starting on Day 1 **Ministry/Facility Information:** **MercyOne North Iowa** Medical Center provides expert health care to 15 counties.
