This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Department of Radiology, Fort Liberty, NC.

Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort  Liberty, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort  Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.

 

Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Liberty which  is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) you will:

 

Serve as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist in a general medical and surgical hospital, independently performing complex and highly specialized CT procedures.Schedule, receive, and review requests from physicians and other health care providers for examinations.Perform the full range of diagnostic CT examinations/procedures, including but not limited to: neuro, chest, abdominal, chest, pediatric, extremity, body, muscular skeletal.Monitor equipment status indicators to prevent damage and liaison with equipment vendors and WAMC equipment maintenance staff for equipment maintenance.Instruct medical, professional, and paraprofessional personnel in the theoretical and practical aspects of quality assurance and quality control in the Radiology Department as it relates to PAC system. Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.
