About The Department:\n\nRespiratory Care Services provides both diagnostic studies and respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients. Registered and certified respiratory care practitioners provide all therapeutic procedures including inhaled medications, postural drainage, airway care and oxygen therapy. The department and the medical staff treat patients with acute and chronic diseases, post-surgical patients, chest trauma and coronary disease among others.\n\n

About The Career:\n\nThis position will perform a variety of pulmonary diagnostic studies to include spirometry, body plethysmography, DLCO, MMV, methacholine challenge, pulmonary stress testing. They will perform neurodiagnostic EEG studies and assist with bronchoscopic procedures to include EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, cryo, argon plasma coagulopathy, bronchoscopic valvular lung reduction.\n\n

All About You:\n\nEducation: Graduate of AMA school for Respiratory Care.\nTraining & Experience: Three years minimum in diagnostics, prefer at least one specialty credential in addition to RRT or CRT. \nBLS required.\nStrong electrocardiography background in EKG interpretation. \nStrong PFT background, including reactive airway studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, ability to meet ATS requirements, knowledge of factors affecting PFT values, knowledge of pharmaceuticals in PFT. \nStrong EEG background, including patient setup, electrode impedance factors, EEG quality maintenance. \nExperience with Nocturnal Oximetry.\n\n
