UPMC Shadyside is seeking a flex/full-time Diagnostic Tech/Diagnostic Tech Adv to join the Consolidated Outpatient Team! This position will offer 3 12-hour shifts (5:30am - 6pm) or 4 10-hour shifts (between 5:30am - 6pm) No weekends, holidays or call responsibilities! Diagnostic Technologist Adv starting rate: $26.16/hour. **Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience, and manager discretion at the time of offer** . **Responsibilities:** + Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. + Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable. + Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures. + Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups. + Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development. + Assist with the training of staff and student technologists. Diagnostic Tech Requirements: + Graduate of an approved ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date. + Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified Diagnostic Technologist until the degree is verified.
