Diagnostic Technologist - Full-time - Cole

This role offers a generous sign-on bonus and the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment. **Position Details:** + **Shift:** Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM + **Weekends:** No scheduled weekends + **Holidays:** As scheduled per rotation + **Sign-On Bonus:** Up to $15,000 for qualified applicants with a two-year work commitment + $10,000 for 0-1 year experience + $15,000 for 1+ year experience **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform imaging procedures independently, using your expertise and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. + Properly identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols during procedures. + Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply specific departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition. + Document patient history in electronic records as required. + Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy. + Ensure all exams are correctly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation, and enter all charges accurately. + Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and documentation, completing procedures according to protocol. + Interact with patients and co-workers with a high level of care, dignity, and respect, working efficiently as part of a team. + Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation. **Why Join UPMC Cole?** + **Generous Sign-On Bonus:** Up to $15,000 for qualified applicants. + **Professional Growth:** Opportunities for career advancement within the organization. + **Impactful Work:** Make a difference in patient care by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT-certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025. Diagnostic Technologists hired before January 1, 2025, must obtain their registry within 12 months of hire/transfer date. CPR or BLS Required.
