About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Diagnostics Engineer to join our team covering the UK, you will be based from our Leeds or Midlands office. Report to the Area Manager, for the Energy Network Solutions (ENS) business. This Role is in addition to the Project engineer roles and responsibilities and when diagnostic duties are not required you will complete the role of an area project engineer.
Responsibilities
Promoting Prysmian’s ENS diagnostics business locally and Nationally in conjunction with the Area Manager and ENS Manager.
Maintenance of local PFT (perfluorocarbon tracers) tagging and detection equipment.
Support the local area with the planning and managing of PFT tagging activities.
Carry out daily risk assessments at point of work.
PFT detection activities within region and nationally as required.
Completing Prycam Surveys Nationally for our customers
Completing Project Reports
Strong understanding of the Prysmian Electronics Prycam Product range and ability to service the local and National market.
Support overseas diagnostic customers working closely with Prysmian Group affiliates.
Support the ENS business with other site activities such as repairs, and project works.
Production of site documentation such as ITPs and RAMS.
Assist with Sheath Testing and fault locating.
Qualifications & Requirements
Ideally hold previous experience with a construction or energy industry environment, with a sound understanding of construction or civil engineering matters.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
Educated to a HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, however not essential.
High level of computer literacy.
Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
A driving license is essential.
An understanding of cable system hydraulics, ability to understand system profiles and route records.
Technically minded understanding how to correctly maintain and operate the equipment.
Given the nature of the role high flexibility is a must as PFT detections may be need be carried out at short notices, at weekends and through the night.
