The Diagnostics Service Engineer provides a high level of technical expertise to Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, customers and dealers in multiple countries on the installation, service, repair, maintenance, and enhancement of Hologic products. The role is highly dynamic, requiring the ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Strong collaboration and clear communication are key.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a liaison between Field Service, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering for product support and implementation. Communicates field service and reliability information to Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering for the purpose of continuing product improvement. Represents service in new product development with a focus on a design for serviceability. Works closely with Learning and Development to collaborate on service training curriculum for new product introductions and various technical service trainings. Evaluates and provides feedback on Service Engineer's technical proficiency on instrumentation to enhance L&D training offerings and service documentation both verbally and electronically. Leads onsite support to Field service engineers for assigned escalations. Evaluates effectiveness of new documentation, product development releases and service documentation while communicating this verbally and electronically. Maintains instrument proficiency by participating in routine service events Provides remote technical and logistical product support as needed. Creates and disseminates technical service bulletins, service manuals, ECOs, service spare parts documentation, service spare parts, tool kits, installation & repair documentation. Maintains up-to-date current releases of service documentation and resolution of technical service issues. Develops necessary technical documentation for TBO/ECO release. Validates and/or verifies new/upgraded products and documentation Other duties as assigned by managerEducation and Experience:
An advanced degree or equivalent and a minimum of ten years' experience Prior technical service, engineering, or technical manufacturing engineering experience is required. Prior experience developing Technical Documentation for Medical Devices including Procedures, Manuals and IFU's. Prior experience with networking troubleshooting Preferred experience servicing or engineering Hologic diagnostic equipment or automated laboratory equipment Electro-mechanical, robotic, pneumatic, and optical assembly and repair experience is a plusSkills:

The annualized base salary range for this role is $93,000 to $145,500 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
