Responsibilities
Functions independently and consistently in the delivery of dialysis therapy to all types of patients including those in complex situations with overt and covert needs and / or complications of treatment through assessment planning implementation and evaluation. The registered nurse will be responsible to prescribe delegate and coordinate nursing care. This position requires providing care/service from a chronically ill to a critically ill through rehabilitating adolescent through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates the functional/ developmental age of the individual served. The registered nurse will incorporate multiple disciplinary care and management with involved health care team members.
Qualifications
Minimum:
One year RN dialysis experienceADN, Diploma, or foreign equivalentCurrent AZ State RN License in good standingCurrent American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider cardAmerican Heart Association ACLS card Must have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.A thorough knowledge and skills and the techniques of the nursing care of the dialysis patientAs well as critical care patients including expertise in the use of dialysis equipment, resuscitation equipment and monitoring equipment such as EKG. Must demonstrate high proficiency level in the area of hemodialysis, critical care nursing assessment and intervention.Preferred:
Preferred one year of critical care nursing experience, experience as a professional nurse in the acute care hospital.
