Dialysis Technician

As a Dialysis Technician in our Dialysis Unit, you will join a team of highly skilled individuals and have the opportunity to provide compassionate technician care to patients with acute renal failure or end-stage renal disease. Technicians are responsible, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, for starting treatment, monitoring patients and maintaining Dialysis machines and equipment.


Required Skills:
•    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
•    Attention to detail and cleanliness is of utmost importance.
•    Must demonstrate empathy and understanding of patient's emotional and physical concerns, and ensure they are comfortable and well-informed at all times.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required (available upon hire)
National Nephrology Certification within 18 months of hire required
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Position Details:
0.9 FTE (full-time, 36 hours per week)
Monday, Wednesday and Friday day shifts
10-12 hour shifts
