Senior Manager, Raw Materials (Dickies)
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Manager of Raw Materials at Dickies looks a little like this.
In this position you will be responsible for managing the raw materials development and partnering with Design to develop inspiring new fabric innovations. This position also works closely with the VF Global Sustainability and Responsibility group on corporate sustainability goals; works closely with VF Global Material Supply on raw materials development and supplier score cards; and works closely with Global Design, Product Developers, and Merchandisers on innovation projects. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Product Development.

Accountable for Fabric and Trim Development.
Accountable for Fabric, Trim and Color master data within PLM.
Partnering with Merch, Design and PD to ensure efficient and consistent use of fabrics and trims
Work with Design and Merch on all innovation projects to get market ready.
Work with Design and Merch Directors on long range materials road map and next generation fabrics and trims.
Bring market innovations to the design team for seasonal concepts.
Working with Eastern/Western Hemisphere Global Material Supply directors on setting overall raw materials goals, understanding global materials market trends, costing and reviewing vendor performance
Tracking fabric efficiencies and partnering with Merchandising and Design to drive use of shared fabrics and trims for efficiency
Work with VF Sustainability and Responsibility group to achieve all VF Corporate goals.
Keep Raw Materials team on track with all technical files ensuring all global standards meet compliance.
International development trips to collaborate with suppliers to help improve margins.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 7-10 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Strong working knowledge of fibers and fabrics (woven and knit) and trims
Familiar with fabric dyeing (piece dye and yarn dye), printing, finishing and color
Knowledge in denim wash a plus
Excellent written and communications skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point
Knowledge of PLM system
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fabric or apparel product development
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Skilled in multilingual communication

Hiring Range:
$116,640.00 USD - $145,800.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
