This position reports to

Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

•\tSet up, operate, and monitor the process/machine effectiveness to meet productivity and quality requirements.•\tSet up and change out raw materials, dies, and form tools to make parts.•\tRead, understand, and follow work instructions and blueprints.•\tUse proper measuring tools to ensure correct die setup (correct Die, Shot Well, Shot Rod, and Tip).•\tOperate and run both die-cast and trim die machines.•\tWork well with new and inexperienced operators to ensure everyone's safety.•\tInspect parts for quality.•\tAdjust various die-cast machines to produce quality parts.•\tUnstick parts as needed.•\tSafely and efficiently change dies.•\tOperate a hoist.•\tPerform routine maintenance (lubrication, pin replacement, tooling changes).•\tOperate a forklift.•\tProvide daily updates on required paperwork.•\tPerform daily housekeeping duties.•\tWork overtime as needed.•\tOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

Education and Experience:\tHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\tMinimum 6 months of industrial experience or military service; or, in lieu of industrial experience, will consider vocational/technical high school courses, technical college courses, or 3 months of previous motor manufacturing experience.\tMotor manufacturing experience is preferred.\tCandidates must have work authorization to work in the United States.Specialized Skills or Other Requirements:\tDie set-up experience is preferred.\tMust be mechanically inclined and proficient in mathematics.\tAbility to read gauges, micrometers, and blueprints.\tSteady work history.\tReliable transportation to and from work.\tAdaptable to change and ability to cross-train.\tStrong attention to detail.\tAbility to work any shift.\tAbility to operate a forklift.Physical Demands:\tStand for long periods, lift, reach, twist, and bend. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. every 10 minutes.\tAble to perform tasks in a manufacturing environment while standing on a concrete floor.\tMust follow workplace safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
