**Job Title: Die Cutter Operator** **Job Description** The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and running die cutting presses and overseeing the stripping of the die cut parts. The operator is responsible for detecting cutting defects and informing the manager of possible problems. **Responsibilities** + Rubber and set up dies + Set up die presses and make ready for cutting + Set up stripping unit on die press + Get first off approved for cutting + Watch for die cutting defects and inform manager or production planner of possible problems + Make die alterations as necessary + Use equipment to move stock and other supplies as needed + Perform routine maintenance and assist with repairs of equipment + Flexibility to move between other jobs, job classifications, and buildings as directed by management **Essential Skills** + 2 years of die cutting experience + Technical die cutting knowledge + Ability to set up both the clam shell and semi-auto die press + Ability to make-ready dies for the press + Ability and willingness to follow verbal and written direction + Ability and willingness to stay focused on the job + Knowledge of how to use and operate fork trucks and other equipment needed to arrange stocks and supplies + Ability to direct others on the team as needed to increase productivity + Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems that arise **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + UV printing + Cutting + Die cutting + Printing + Digital printing + Laminator + Mounting + Hand tool and power tool usage + Mechanical aptitude + Screen printing **Why Work Here?** High employee retention with full-time employees having been with the company for 20-30 years. It is air-conditioned and humidity-controlled. The role offers a 1st shift from 6:30am to 3pm with the possibility of up to 10 hours of OT a week and occasionally on Saturdays from 6am to 11am, or a 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm. The dress code requires wearing closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
