**Job Title: Die Repairman** **Job Description** The tool room technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the dies on 1st shift. They will handle repairs both in the press and in the tool room. We seek an individual with 7+ years of experience who can start immediately on the 1st shift. This position has been newly added to assist with the increased number of tools coming in for repair. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair dies in the stamping presses (2x 2200 Schuler presses, 1x 750 ton, 2x 500 ton). + Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the fingers of the press. + Perform lockout/tagout procedures and troubleshoot broken punches within the press. + Operate cranes, high lifts, and forklifts safely. + Utilize press gauges for tool and die setup. + Assist in training and teaching die setters to familiarize them with processes. **Essential Skills** + 7+ years of tool and die maintenance experience. + Experience in progressive die troubleshooting. + Proficiency in tool room machining (manual machining, surface grinders, etc.). + Ability to diagnose issues with tools and dies in progressive dies. + In-press repair experience for troubleshooting broken punches and press fingers. + Certified in operating cranes, high lifts, and forklifts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong problem-solving skills. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. + Capable of prioritizing and addressing tool and die maintenance needs. **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401K match, and long-term disability. The facility is undergoing renovations, including new fixtures and improvements. The building has both a stamping side and a robotic weld side. The work schedule for the 1st shift is from 6am to 2:30pm/3:30pm, with mandatory overtime of 5x 10-hour days and some Saturdays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00/yr. Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
