**Aerotek is hiring for Diesel Forklift Mechanics in the Baltimore, MD area** **Qualified candidates will perform the following:** We are seeking a Heavy Duty Preventative Maintenance Mechanic for our busy mechanic shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, front loaders, and other machinery. This will include basic repair knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, power train, and pneumatic systems. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, and front loaders. + Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment. + Read and interpret specifications and manuals. + Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. **Essential Skills** + Experience as a Diesel Mechanic. + Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. + Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics. + Experience working on Diesel Forklifts + Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 5-10 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic on diesel engines, including forklifts and front end loaders. **Work Environment** You will work in various warehouses for storing bulk and break bulk products, and a yard with materials. You must be comfortable working in hot summer and cold winter conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Hours are typically **Monday through Friday, 7am - 4pm** , with some overtime available.
