Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry! MATERIAL COORDINATOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT! Our Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all parts and materials required for production are ordered, tracked, and delivered to the shop before the start of each job. This role is critical in maintaining efficient operations by ensuring that every item on the Bill of Materials (BOM) is accounted for, ordered, and received on schedule. The Material Coordinator works closely with the production scheduler and suppliers to confirm timelines, resolve delays, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet operational demands. WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A MATERIAL COORDINATOR · Review Bills of Materials (BOM) for each job to identify required parts and materials · Place orders for all items on the BOM, ensuring accurate quantities and specifications · Monitor order status and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery · Work collaboratively with the scheduler to align material availability with production schedules · Proactively identify potential delays or supply chain issues and implement solutions to mitigate impact · Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels · Coordinate with the receiving department to confirm deliveries and resolve discrepancies · Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including production and project managers, to update them on material availability and any potential issues · Continuously evaluate suppliers for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. · May be assigned other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS · 18 years of age or older · Eligible to work in the United States · Proven experience in materials coordination, procurement, supply chain, or a related field · Proficiency in inventory management software and tools · Intermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook · Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents · Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means · Pass a background check and drug screen · Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
