Temp-to-Hire position$25.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredFirst Shift (Monday through Saturday from 07:00am to 05:00pm)Diagnostic Work: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues in diesel engines and systems.Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and related components. Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical problems, electrical issues, and other system malfunctions.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance.Parts and Tools: Inspect and replace worn or damaged parts and use specialized tools to complete repairs.Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in diesel mechanics is preferred.Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; proficiency with diesel engine repair; familiarity with various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in diesel mechanics are a plus.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.Applicant may be subject to a background checkApplicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle ReportPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
