LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support our Recycling, Composting, and Disposal sites located in Aberdeen, Washington. Experience repairing heavy equipment is a huge plus!
Diesel Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 1 pm-9:30 pm (or until work is completed) but must be open to working overtime and occasional Saturdays, typically working 5-10 hours of OT a week.

Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services on garbage trucks and a variety of off-road and stationary equipment.Conducts safety checks and periodic inspections on vehicles and equipment.Reviews, trouble shoots and completes repairs identified on Operator Vehicle Inspection Reports.Performs maintenance related work as required.Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.What We're Looking For:
2-5 years’ experience in heavy diesel equipment maintenance and repair required.Class A or B CDL preferredSelf-started and motivated; ability to work independentlyKnowledge of yellow iron/Heavy Equipment would be a plusMust be able to lift at least 75lbsOwn and provide personal tools.Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.Able to MIG weld and use oxy-acetylene cutting torchPerform some facility maintenance work as needed.
