Job Description
Seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform repairs and service on Semi Trucks, Pickup Trucks, Industrial Grade Air Compressors, Trailers, and Forklifts. The majority of the work will be performed at the shop, with occasional field repairs as needed.
ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs and maintenance on Semi Trucks, Pickup Trucks, Industrial Grade Air Compressors, Trailers, and Forklifts.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.Conduct preventive maintenance.Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, brakes, electrical systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy equipment.Perform DOT inspections and welding as necessary.Drive company vehicles to job sites for on-site service and repairs.Clearly define and request parts required for repairs.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Essential SkillsExperience performing diesel mechanic repairs on Semi Trucks, Air Compressors, Trailers, Pickup Trucks, and Forklifts.Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, brakes, electrical systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy equipment.Knowledge of DOT inspection processes and welding.Ability to drive a company vehicle to job sites for on-site service.Must have own basic hand and power tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working around heavy equipment.Capacity to clearly define the parts required for repairs.
Work Environment
The job is based in a shop located in North Omaha, with both indoor and outdoor facilities. The yard consists of rock and some concrete, and stores large pipes, pumps, trucks, trailers, and forklifts. The office has been remodeled and is in good condition, providing a comfortable workspace. Leadership is clear and precise in giving orders and defining expectations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
