Job Description
The diesel mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-trucks and trailers. This includes engine repairs, engine overhauls, diagnosing, and DPF (diesel particulate filter) repairs. Additionally, the role involves transmission, clutch repair and replacement, differential and power divider, axle, hub, and bearing service, as well as air brakes, hydraulic brakes, air systems, and spring replacement/repair.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, including Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, and Peterbilt.Perform engine overhauls and DPF repairs.Repair and replace transmissions and clutches.Service differentials, power dividers, axles, hubs, and bearings.Maintain and repair air and hydraulic brakes, air systems, and springs.Perform general preventive maintenance on semi-trucks, charter buses, lift trucks, and other large machinery.Essential Skills3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic with a strong track record and positive references.Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, brakes, clutches, and large machinery.Experience with brands such as Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, and Peterbilt.Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.Must have own tools and toolboxes (valued around 15-25k).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electrical systems and diesel maintenance.Ability to work with diagnostic testing equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes a 26k sq. ft. clean facility with electronic lifts, reducing the need to work under trucks or above heads. The first shift runs from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with potential for 4 10-hour days. Mechanics are responsible for maintaining a clean workstation and need to be comfortable using technology for work orders. The company is family-owned, and the culture emphasizes thorough training, hard work, and a positive attitude.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
