Job Description
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repairs, and replacing parts and components. You will also service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and both mobile and stationary equipment. Additionally, you will utilize computers to issue parts, update comments on work orders, and use diagnostic programs for engines, hydraulic systems, OEM, and brake systems. Maintaining accurate records of services and repairs, following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance are all crucial aspects of this role. Keeping the work area clean and orderly, following safety regulations, demonstrating dependability, and effectively communicating with co-workers and customers are essential responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesRepair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair, and replace parts and components.Service machinery and mechanical equipment, including repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and mobile and stationary equipment.Utilize computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders, including using diagnostic programs for engines and hydraulic systems.Prepare and maintain accurate records of services and repairs.Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs when needed.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following safety regulations.Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs.Effectively communicate with co-workers and customers in a positive manner.Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsDiesel troubleshooting and maintenance.Automotive repair.Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical and electronic engines, and mobile equipment.Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical and electronic engines, and mobile equipment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Capability to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather.Team player in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shifts with little or no advance notification.Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities, including pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, and working with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and heavy equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in an industrial environment, exposed to all elements of weather. The role requires standing for significant lengths of time and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Dress code and safety regulations must be followed to maintain a clean and orderly work area. Flexibility to work overtime outside of normally scheduled shifts with little or no advance notification is necessary.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00
